On March 27, the kickoff meeting of two new jack-up projects of H1319 and H1320 was held at SWS. President Mr. Wang Qi, Vice President Mr. Chen Jun, Deputy Chief Engineer Mr. Xu Zifu, Directors of seven key production departments, project managers and representatives of other relevant departments attended the meeting.

On the kickoff meeting, Offshore Project Department, Strategy and Management Department, Offshore Engineering Design Department，and Procurement & Supply Department respectively made presentation on such aspects as production readiness plan, target cost assessment method for design and procurement, project design planning, design optimization，and procurement costs reduction in 60 days after the project became effective.

The company top management said on the meeting that the new order situation of civil ships and offshore products of SWS is generally good recently, that the offshore engineering output value has reached a ratio of 50% among the total, and that the CSSC offshore engineering meeting held at our company last week has shown the leading position of SWS in the offshore engineering sector of CSSC. The top management stressed that considering the new orders and offshore benefit of other domestic shipyards and with the transformation of the offshore construction mode from a single project to products in series, we must strengthen the cost control of offshore products both from consciousness and through measures, enhance the design optimization and procurement cost control, strictly follow the company’s target cost and create offshore engineering of benefit and high quality.
